It's a sad, sad life when one gets her jollies from her daily trip to the grocery store.
Lee and I started a diet two weeks ago. I finally broke down and went back to my doctor who has suggested this low-carb diet... 22 measly carbs a day. My first job was to find out what a carbohydrate was, then learn the multifaceted world of getting by on 22 of them a day. New words like dietary fiber and maltitol became valuable.
Tonight, I wanted to make my famous shrimp salad for supper. I discussed this with Jane over lunch because I was in a quandary as to what to use instead of the cute little seashell pasta in the salad. She said she thought there was a new "low carb" pasta and that I should check it out.
So, after lunch, I took off to Food Lion. Boring, yes. But when I finally found the low carb pasta and headed for the check-out, I was ready for some amusement. I usually peruse the tabloids while waiting in line, a minor amusement. But today, there was the cover of covers.... this:

I giggled at the cashier when she greeted me, I guffawed on the way out to the car, I even managed a laughing cough on the way home in the car... and I'm STILL laughing!!!! (And yes, I HAD to buy it)
