Little Sister Woes

So I'm the one who was charged with getting homeowner's insurance on my grandmother's house. Le lives in Charleston and was in the mountains for a month, so it was natural that the task fell to me.
I spent last Friday morning calling agents, polling them for their rates based on the existing coverage. The cheapest I got was through my own insurance agency. I called my brother to report before signing on with them. He thought my rate was too high and asked if I had called his company. I had. Theirs was the most expensive.
He said he'd call when he got back to Charleston. He called today. Apparently, he's upped the deductible (something I had not done) and gotten a dirt cheap rate. Yay. He's saved the day.
So why am I not happy? He asked me to do it. I have never had to do this before... when I inherited my house, I just kept the same coverage. I was proud that I had called around and gotten these rates. It took time. I learned a lot.
He makes one call and bests my best rate by over $200.
