fatesfollyeven more restless than normal today...
I think I do need a sabbatical.
I keep thinking of that cabin in the mountains. I mentioned my relaxation technique to my brother and I learned more about the place. It's three rooms. It does have a bathroom and because they've peeked in the windows. The water source is a mountain spring. He said there's also a screened-in porch that looks over the cascades that I had not remembered. Still no word on who owns it or if they ever go to it.
In my mind's eye, I see myself packing quilts and bedding and candles and lots of books. I see packing fruit and bread and crackers and other non-perishable food.
In the cool mountain air, I will need no air conditioning. And my wavy hair will dry naturally.
I will hike. A lot. I will read. I will contemplate life. I will go down to the cascades and feel the nerve numbing cold as I wade in up to my knees.
And I will breathe.
