Jan. 24th, 2007 06:03 pmIt's no secret I've had trouble with my home internet connection for about a month now. I still don't know the problem since I'm currently sitting on eterna-hold with Comcast, but I would like to pass along a nice little tool in case y'all need to actually speak to a live person when you call an 800 number.

It gives you tips on how to bypass the "press 1 for English" bull hockey and gets you in the call queue sooner. It sure helped me tonight-- I tried five times to call Comcast starting at around 5:40 and each time, I pressed all their little buttons like the dutiful consumer. After pressing at least 4 different buttons in answer to their stupid little questions, I got the abrupt message that Comcast is experiencing a higher than average call volume and that I should call back at another time.
Gahhh!
But... stealing wireless internet from a neighbor, I was able to get the website up, find Comcast's number and get through to a live person in no time.
THAT's Comcastic!
