I admit it... I'm a baby.

I'm a baby sister. And as long as I have an older brother, I will always seek that nurturing from him.

The main reason I chose the college I went to was because my brother was a highway patrolman and was stationed in the town where the college was located. I knew if I needed him, he'd be there. And he was, on several occaisions.

Later, I relied on him to get me out of other sticky jams. He's strong, very mechanical, and knows engines, carpentry, electrical systems, heating and air, tires, land, and pretty much everything a man should know.

While I was still in college, I was working at a restaurant in town. It was Christmas Eve and I was scheduled to work. As it happens, it started snowing that day and it snowed like the Dickens all day long. When it came time to go to work, he carried me through the drifts of snow. Because of the snow, it was a light night and we were told we could go home around 7pm. I called my brother and he came to pick me up. We didn't go straight home. He found the steepest hills in town and we went hot doggin', slipping and sliding in the snow... oh, what fun!

Last night, the forecast was for snow. I chose my clothes for the day, planning on working, but also planning on being warm. When I got up this morning, the ground was still brown and the sky looked ominous. I checked the forecast and radar again and a huge mass was coming our way. I bundled up, got in the car and started my 45 minute commute to work, knowing it might not be smart, but also knowing there were things I needed to do before the weekend. And for the first time since my brother moved to Charleston, I missed him.

As a side note to hiddentask, I'm working hard to get back home so THIS non-snow driver can get off the road!
