I do find that the iPhone keyboard is a little finicky about where you have to touch to get the correct letter. It can sometimes be a pain and I'm not sure that the Crackberry version is going to be much better. Why don't you ask your co-worker to let you play with her Crackberry? That way you could get a feel for it.
